The vision charrette will last seven days, May 1-7. A design team will create a detailed vision for the Michigan Avenue/Grand River Avenue corridor, stretching from the state Capitol through Lansing, East Lansing, Meridian Township, Williamstown Township, City of Williamston, Leroy Township and the Village of Webberville.
Members of the public, groups and agencies will provide their input at the following scheduled meetings throughout the charrette.
Wednesday, May 1 • 6 to 9:30 pm
The charrette begins with a large community meeting from 6 – 9:30 PM at the Lansing Center on May 1st. During this time you will work alongside your neighbors to draw your ideas for the future of the Michigan/Grand River corridor. The next day, the design team takes the maps and ideas back to the design studio and begins to create several different vision concepts. These concepts are based on the meeting results along with base data and other studies. Throughout the week, the design team will refine the vision and plan in the charrette studio. The community is welcome to visit the studio and provide input throughout the week at 333 E. Grand River Avenue.
