Charrette Tools 101 Seminar
at the Michigan Avenue/Grand River Avenue Charrette

The National Charrette Institute will hold a two-hour educational seminar on the first day of this weeklong charrette in East Lansing. This seminar is for community members, agency staff, developers and anyone who wants to know more about how charrettes work. This is a unique opportunity to learn about charrettes by attending one. NCI staff will also beholding “sidebar” discussions throughout the charrette. Topics will include:

  • How will the charrette weave community interaction with the vision design process?
  • What is the strategy behind the charrette schedule?
  • How will high-tech tools be used to improve community input at the public meetings?

Participants are also welcome to attend the Kick-off Presentation and Hands-on Design Public Meeting at 6 pm held at the Lansing Center the evening of May 1st.
